THE MONTH DECEMBER.

   Now that we are in December, i think it is a good time toremember the very essence of our existence. Like a shop keeper, we need to takestock of all that have happened, in the course of the year. The wasted months,days, hours and seconds, though they can never be recovered, but some truth canbe uncovered like i a CIA.

We all started January  like December was ages away, as if it may never show up, but here it is. Live in our faces, taking up our spaces. Like a sneaky neighbour, it sneaks up on us just to remind us that indeed time is a constant enemy. This is the end that marks the beginning of a new era.

Most of us now shiver and move with some un-usual urgency, like the year didn’t start 12months ago, we always complain there is not enough time to cross our Ts and dot our Is.   

Look December in the eyes and tell it what it needs to know, because an angry December means a harsh new month and year.  The unprepared try so hard to achieve so much in this singular and festive month, forgetting that there is really no room for that.

We saw it coming, never thought it would be this soon, you have caught some off guard, you have swept some off their feet, down on the ground they wallow in total regrets and wishes. Quietly January of another journey is on its way; let no one plead ignorant here.

When i sight December, all I see is another chance to make things right, festivity is just for a while the real thing is after the merry making. Life is giving everyone a beautiful gift, a gift of 365days, though it may not be enough but let’s make use of it judiciously first.

We welcome you December, though some of us wish we could have one more month, maybe we call it a month of remember, because it will come after December. Whatever the situation maybe, let us activate the celebration mode, go get your parting shoes and put on the garment of jubilation. There will be lots of smiles in the air, smiles of multiple colours.

You have been working your brains off, it is time to relax and get the load off your chest, you have being receiving gifts all through the months, now is the time and season to give without looking back.

Some might say, isn’t this one of the beauties of December. Well, that is so true, but always remember that when you see December know that January is watching, ready to invade your consciousness with a new and daring reality. A reality that may live with you all through the new 365days.
